UPDATE: Our premier project last year was to assist the orphans at Suzdal in Russia. The most immediate need was fixing of a leaky roof, which has now been repaired by their local government we understand. (Praise God for answered prayer!) Perhaps the US-based humanitarian organization we contacted and was familiar with this situation, had a baring on this move by the government to help. The US organization gave a thorough evaluation of the building, and recommended that outside charities not help raise funds to fix it because of governmental policy there. Additionally, the organization explained that the building was so poorly constructed, that charities seeking to help should just build new buildings instead of pouring money into this one. What a blessing for them to let us know the real situation so that our donations can be used for other, equally important works at Suzdal, such as Bibles, new furniture for their primary residential building, (which needs some upgrading), clothing, fruit, educational supplies, activity funds, craft items, and toys. This orphanage in Suzdal is run by the Russian government and currently cares for 39 children. Our Russian translator and official contact person, Luba Bogoslovskaya, still lives in that region and works regularly with this orphanage.
teach Bible classes to children in several orphanages. Luba brought the Suzdal orphanage to the Donahue's attention two years ago, and has volunteered her time and services on behalf of the children. Las year a brand-new, high-tech digital camera was provided to Luba so that the foundation could be kept up-to-date on the progress of the children there. Eventually it is hoped that we can work together with Luba to form a sponsorship program for individual children residing in several orphanages within the Vladimir Region.

Luba Bogoslovskaya:
Luba was the official Russian contact person for our foundation last year. She corresponded with the Donahues for many months regarding orphan care in Russia. Luba is a professional translator of the Russian language, and is a citizen of the Vladimir Region. She has done work for several outreach and governmental organizations, and has been blessed with opportunities to

If this building is salvageable, we are committed to helping get it fixed. In the meantime, while we are waiting for the results of the construction assessment, we are raising funds for the current renovation needs of the children's primary residential building, (seen at the very top of this page). They are in real need of educational furniture such as desks and chairs!
